If I leave an area that has wifi, in order for the cellular to work I have to turn off the wifi and bluetooth and reset the watch. If for some reason I wanted the cellular to work even if I had wifi connection, I would still have to do the same thing.Whenyour watch connects to a cellular network, you can check the signal strength from Control Center or the Explorer watch face . To open Control Center, touch and hold the bottom of the screen, then swipe up. The Cellular button turns green when you have a connection. WhenI got to the part about setting up cellular it skipped right past it. Two things you have to do are turn off “find my phone” and when resetting the watch don’t remove your cellular plan. The problem is not the watches but the phone. I have no idea why this works but I suggest researching it. It made my day.
