Hi, having had the same warning come on my car 2011 2.0tdci I started investigating: Happened twice on longer runs, car probably trying to regen, it looks like it might be the fuel vapouriser in the dpf, these get blocked so the dpf can't regen as its basically a glow plug that helps to burns extra fuel put into the dpf when it needs a regen.
hi tried a static regen today and got this. (OK) [15:26:25.118] Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Static Regeneration has been started (ERR) [15:27:53.020] Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Static Regeneration has been cancelled by operator (OK) [15:32:42.906] Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Static Regeneration has been started
If you drive only short distances or your journeys contain frequent stopping and starting, you must initiate the regeneration process every 500-800 kilometres (300-500 miles). To do this, drive your vehicle at 80 km/h (50 mph) for 40 kilometres (25 miles) in the lowest possible gear whenever it is safe to do so.

Speed has zero effect on a Regen. Recs may have a minor effect but you won't ever get the DPF up to 600C+ just by engine exhaust alone. DPF regenerations happen by extra fuel being injected in to the exhaust either through a dedicated fuel injector on the facelift mk4 or on the exhaust stroke for pre facelift.

Look at DPF differential pressures & reading 0.49kpa with engine not running. New DPF pressure sensor supplied & fitted, you guessed, no good. Pipes off pressure sensor & blown through & all clear, no good.. Starting to get a bit tedious now! Even tried regen via Snapon scantool incase the car doesnt speak Chinnese but same results.
So the take away from my experience is that if your car is constantly trying to regen, and you have the P246B code in the PCM, and a high pressure reading in the DPF with the engine off, then it's most likely the Pressure Differential sensor. Thanks to all those here that offered help and advice.
Common fault codes for the Ford Mondeo which is highly prone to Fuel Vaporizer failure are as follows: P246B-00: Vehicle Conditions Incorrect for Diesel Particulate Filer Regeneration. P2463-00: Diesel Particulate Filter – Soot Accumulation. P24A4-00: Diesel Particulate Filter Restriction – Soot Accumulation Too High (Bank 1) FORD DPF ISSUES:

Maybe the DPF has been removed and the regen has been mapped out like Getsome says 2014 Mondeo MK4.5 Business Estate 2.0TDCi 150PS (DW10c) with Android 'Tesla' style headunit Save Share 2008 mondeo mk4 2.0 tdci done 137k EML light came on took it to the garage and the hoses from dpf melted so had these replaced. Forced a regeneration and didn't work so the DPF sensor had melted so replaced that. Tried to regenerate and EML came on it came up a's dpf blocked. I replaced the DPF and still EML on and in limp mode with following

I would say that the dpf is most likely to be fine at the moment, although possibly filling up. The "exhaust not hot enough for a regen" suggests the vaporiser may not be working (it injects diesel in to the exhaust to raise the temps to over 600C). Despite your high mileage, this can still become blocked with carbon build up.
