2008 mondeo mk4 2.0 tdci done 137k EML light came on took it to the garage and the hoses from dpf melted so had these replaced. Forced a regeneration and didn't work so the DPF sensor had melted so replaced that. Tried to regenerate and EML came on it came up a's dpf blocked. I replaced the DPF and still EML on and in limp mode with following
I would say that the dpf is most likely to be fine at the moment, although possibly filling up. The "exhaust not hot enough for a regen" suggests the vaporiser may not be working (it injects diesel in to the exhaust to raise the temps to over 600C). Despite your high mileage, this can still become blocked with carbon build up.
