Out of the multiple data generated by the GPS module, here in the project ‘GPS and GSM based Vehicle Tracking System’ we need NMEA data to track the location of the vehicle. The microcontroller processes this data and then sends it through a GSM modem to the mobile phone.
These tracker modules use the Semtech LoRa radios, and compatible Arduino dev boards. Initially, there is just support for the Adafruit Feather, but will be more added over time. The modules can be used to track the location of anything remotely, via the LoRa packet radio mesh network.
Yes, there is a Python module for Google Maps. Also as mentioned in second bullet of point 1, there is some simple project called GooMPy which apperently provides gui for Google Maps api, although I haven't researched it much. Knowing above stuff I would be pretty comfortable in started coding myself. The GSM communication consists of a mobile device, base station substation (BSS), etc. Hence by using this component we can send the messages to other subscribers. GSM module can either be a dedicated modem device with either a serial or an USB or a Bluetooth connection. Also it can be a mobile phone with GSM modem capabilities.5. GPS does not need any kind of internet or wireless connection, but there are technologies like A-GPS that use the mobile network to shorten the time to first fix, or the initial positioning or increase the precision in situations when there is a low satellite visibility. Android phones tend to use A-GPS. If there is no connectivity, they use .
